Neighbors Helping Neighbors In Need

We show our love for Christ by helping our neighbors in need.

Through a variety of programs, we are able provide assistance to those in the community who have recently experienced a life-changing crisis by offering  assistance with basic needs such as food, rent, prescription medications, clothing, utilities and more. 

Thanks to the generous donations from the community, we resell items such as clothing, jewelry, home furnishings and appliances, children's toys, decorative items and much more - using the proceeds to help others when they need it the most. 

The Lakeway Christian Community Resale Barn was  established in 1996 as a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization and is owned and organized by the Lakeway United Methodist Church. Our board of directors consists of clergy members from the Pottsboro Ministerial Alliance, to include the Georgetown Baptist Church, First Baptist Church, Hagerman Baptist Church, Preston Community Church, and St. John’s Episcopal Church. 

Through the generosity of the community, we have helped our neighbors in need with more than $6 million in aid through short and long-term assistance.
